New Apartment

Weather: Fall is freakin coming :( getting cooler. . .cloudy :'( SUMMER COME BACK!

So my boyfriend and I kind of moved on an impulse. . .yes, bad decision.  Not to mention it was when our finances weren't at their greatest. . .So his momma loanded us the money to get the apartment (THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!) and she gave CJ a lot of things for the apartment and bought us a bunch of groceries, all of which we wouldn't have been able to otherwise afford.  My parents gave me some stuff as well which I am very very greatful for.  I had thought about how much we were going to need when we got our own place. . .but I hadn't really thought of everything. . .There are sooo many things we need :P We had to go to walmart the first night in our apartment so we could make, and eat dinner :P I wish we had a cheap bottle of wine that we could drink out of coffee cups to really top off the night on our first night :P but I think that will still happen in the near future.  I think walmart is going to be my bestfriend seeing as it is now 2 miles away as opposed to 30 minutes :P not to mention all the great prices that I now pay attention to :P (As a side note, I would just like to say, GROWING UP SUCKS!! :P ) but no, I really do love my apartment and I think its going to work out great, we just need a month or two and we will be on our feet and set, I'm going to do what I can to get a job by next weekend (I put my 2 week notice in at Mercato's) and CJ wants to get a second part time job on top of his full-time, well paying job.  I'm optimistic.  :) But anywho, my apartment is a large 1 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment.  Its on the 1st floor next door to a private college, in a very nice part of town.  It has a small back yard, coin operated laundry in the building, stove (electric) and refrigerator.  Its really cute, and the kitchen has a bar :) There are huge closets and cabinets every where and everything is well lit.  The apartment also has a lot of windows.  Its really great :) And I get to have Jack without extra pay :) Its $700/month with heat and hot water included.  :) Love it!!!! Casino

So I went to the casino the other night.  I went to TurningStone with my parents.  I've never been to a casino. . .honestly I don't even think I've seen one before.  But we went.  I put $75 on the little cards that they give you.  On the second slot machine I went to I more than doubled my money, so I was going to go and take $100 off my card and play with the rest.  Well. . .there were a lot of slot machines between that machine and the place you go to get the money off and they had buttons and lights and pretty colors. . .lol so needless to say I didnt take $100 off.  I was doing really well though.  I managed to stay above $100 almost all night and we played for hours.  After we went to dinner though, it was just all down hill.  I lost it all by the end of the night.  I had planned on it anyways, but it was fun.  I forget how much my mom lost, I think she lost like $100 or $120.  Dad was the only one that won anything.  But we had a good time. 

College

Well for those of you that don't already know, I got accepted to Long Island University C.W Post and they are giving me $11,000 A YEAR to go there.  That is without other financial aid and scholarships.  I was so happy when I found out, I seriously wanted to cry.  Everyone was really happy for me, and it made me feel so good.  If everything goes right I will most likely go there.  I'm still waiting to hear from the rest of the schools I applied to and then make my final decision.  I still don't know if I want to go that far away, or if I want to spend that much money all 4 years because its like $28,000 a year. . .
